Lots of work goes into making this iconic snowmobile possible every year, including hauling a massive amount of snow. The Portage Lake Lift Bridge opened to sled traffic yesterday, connecting Houghton and Hancock, and serving as a critical link in the Keweenaw Peninsula’s 230-mile snowmobiling trail network.
