Forecasters see chances for another storm by the last weekend of January.

Highs are slated for the mid 30s Sunday and the mid to upper 40s Monday! We could be dealing with near-record warmth to start next week before conditions slowly cool into the middle part of next week.

When it comes to weather forecasts, the percentage chance indicates the likelihood of a weather event for the entirety of a given area or region.

None of that means winter will be “over” anytime soon. The atmosphere may still deliver another round of very cold weather in Alabama before spring settles in for good. In the short term, it’s looking warmer, but longer-term signals still favor a chill into early March.

Expect a high of 19 degrees that feels more like 14, with an overnight low of 11 degrees on Feb. 4. Forecasters predict Wednesday will be frigid with intervals of clouds and sunshine. Throughout the day, winds will be blowing north northwest at 6.9 mph.

The weather service says the Akron-Canton region will see 2 to 3 inches of snow Thursday night and Friday. Wind chills are expected to be 12 below zero on Saturday, 7 below on Sunday and 4 below on Monday. As for today's weather, expect a high of 24 degrees, with an overnight low of 8. Forecasters predict it will be partly sunny.
